All About Us!

We have been involved with Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses for over 25 years. It all started when we first met Anne Bowditch at Reading Horse Sales, when she was there selling two part-bred Arabs. From there, we visited her at Dorocina Stud, at Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxford and purchased from her a big 4-year-old bay gelding called TATIAN, who we trained to race - he went on to win twice for us and placed many other times!

Following our success with TATIAN, Anne asked if we would train a horse for her called Harald Harefoot. He won twice for us and was subsequently placed 4 times. Anne then asked us to come and visit her at her farm in Marcham, whereupon we walked into a meadow to see a chestnut colt. Anne said "If you can catch him, you can have him to train as well!". We duly obliged and came back the following week, caught the horse and took him home. He was called NAZZERIN and after breaking him in and getting him fit, he went on to win six races and was placed on many other occasions. NAZZERIN combined his stud duties with racing and he became the sire of many top class racehorses and endurance horses, including: PHYZELDA, FLITTERMOUZE, PHARIZ PHRITZ, FLORIFEROUZ, PHAZAN, ZEBEDEE, DOROCINA PRAIZBE, DOROCINA PHRIZBE & TRINCULO

NAZZERIN was then sold on to Abu Dhabi. Two of his progeny, DOROCINA PRAIZBE & DOROCINA PHRIZBE, were also bought from Anne. DOROCINA PHRIZBE was sold for Endurance and went on to compete at top level.

We trained DOROCINA PRAIZBE for the Windsor Park Marathon. He finished 8th and was the first part-bred home. We realised at this point we could do better and become more competitive, so we joined the EGB (Endurance Great Britain). Anne then asked us if we could train a horse for her to compete in the Shadwell Estate marathon, Thetford; so we trained PHYZELDA, whom James Owen rode, and she became the first Marathon win for Anne. She also won First Mare and Best Condition. Anne's second winner, again at Shadwell, was the 5-year-old, FLITTERMOUZE. She was ridden by Emma Owen and also won First Purebred, First Mare & Best Condition! Anne's mare, KAZELDA, also competed that year and finished 5th when ridden by James Owen.

After joining the EGB, Endurance took centre stage for our Arabs. We qualified many horses up to 'Advanced' level and we also qualified 3 horses to FEI 160km: GOLDEN EGIS, PLESSYS PRIDE & JAKE.
